Research & Knowledge Network
About the Network
The FCEI Research and Knowledge network has been developed in response to requests from
practitioners, researchers, parents and families, both individually and organisationally, for easier
comprehensive access to high quality information and opportunities for networking contact
about research and evaluation internationally in the field of FCEI.
Its aims are:
- To enable those interested in promoting, undertaking and learning from high quality research and evaluation activity in the field of Family Centred Early Intervention to connect and develop links
- To Increase awareness of and knowledge about relevant research and evaluation activity - both already published and actively underway - which relates to the principles of the FCEI Best Practices international consensus statement.
- To enable network participants to benefit from the experiences and expertise of others in the field
- To signpost to further and wider sources of high quality evidence based information
How the Network will work
The FCEI Research and Knowledge Network pages on the website will be developed over the coming months to include information allied to the aims of the network - and to signpost to other sources of high quality information which can enhance knowledge of how Family Centred Early Intervention supports optimal outcomes for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.
At the same time, the FCEI Research and Knowledge Network forum is being launched. Conference delegates and others interested and active in the field can sign up to become network participants and receive a log in to the forum, which we hope will quickly grow as more people become aware of it and the contact and networking opportunities it provides.
